The Brazilian Keratin Blow Dry Treatments we do, the differences & a little advice from us.
All the treatments are accompanied with easy to follow instructions in English. The treatments can last anything from 2 to 3 months or longer & salt free shampoos & conditioners must be used following treatment. The life of the treatment also depends on how often hair is washed, obviously less is best & salt water must be avoided at all costs. When we say 'salt' we are referring to sodium chloride which will strip the treatment from the hair, so any products containing this must be avoided. Also, sulfate can be harmful, but there are over 120 types where some are harsh & again will strip the treatment out, but then are so gently that they can be used following a Brazilian treatment, & so you would need to check with the manufacturer of products that contain this ingredient to see if it is safe to use. Apart from the Cocochoco all the treatments can be washed out the same day as the application, but we (not the manufacturers) say if you can keep the treatment on for 1 or 2 days longer this additional time will allow the treatment that bit longer to penetrate the hair cuticle, as in our experience it leads for an even better result & a longer lasting treatment. As treatments are repeated they will begin to last longer, so fewer treatments will be required as time goes on.
