Tips for maximising the life of the Brazilian Blow Dry Treatment.

The Brazilian Blow Dry is an amazing treatment resulting in longer, smoother and frizz free hair, not to mention a confidence booster by transforming you and in some cases your life! But not all have the time or the resources to get the hair treatment done whenever they want, so here are some tips to extend the life of the Brazilian Blow Dry Treatment!
Picture
  • With some Brazilian Blow Dry treatments hair can be washed the same day as the application. But still it is better if you don’t wash it immediately after the application and leave the treatment in for 2/3 days before the first wash.
  • Try reducing the amount of times in a week you wash your hair. The longer you can go the better.
  • Following the treatment sodium chloride & sulphate (salts) free shampoos and conditioners must be used. We say sulphate too, as there are some products on the market that are advertised for use following the Brazilian Blow Dry, but this is a tricky one as there are over 120 kinds of sulphate where some are very harsh, but some are gentle enough that the product can be used following treatment. So, to find out if a product that contains sulphate is safe to use, you would need to contact the manufacturer of the product. To save money some baby shampoos are safe to use, just check the ingredient list.
  • Avoid swimming in the sea and rain water. As for swimming in the pool our clients tell us the water has no affect on their treatment, but we still say to avoid pool water if wanting to maximise the life of the treatment.
  • Other hair products that might be used after treatment such as hair masks, hair oils, hair mousse etc., again check the ingredient list for sodium chloride and sulphate (salt), and obviously don’t use if they contain these ingredients.
